Diva Alessia
Western Dressage
Diva Alessia is a 2004 Lusitano/Kiger Mustang cross owned by Joan
Starkowsky.  Her dam was captured from the wild, and Diva herself ran
free for the first 4 years of her life.  KC & Diva competed in Versatile
Horse & Rider Competition held at the Equine Affaire in Columbus, OH in
April, 2011.  There the team placed first in the qualifying round and tied
for first place in the finals...all this with only 6 months preparation!  Next
the pair set their sights on the 2011 All American Quarter Horse
Congress to compete in the Freestyle Reining where they want to
demonstrate the art of Western Dressage.

Recently accepted by the USEF as its own legitimate discipline, Western Dressage is defined as
"training & developing the Western rider and horse to improve themselves as individuals and
partners through the use and discipline of dressage."
